Quincy City Hall – 1:00 PM
-Best day in weeks, with the heat wave finally breaking. Quincy center is crowded with tourists and the lunchtime rush.
-The city hall is both the classic early 1800’s granite “Greek temple” and the modern black glass annex. The 2 buildings form 2 sides of a park.
Rockland Town Hall – 4:43 PM
-1960’s era brick building. The corrugated metal trim needs to be painted or power washed.
-There are only 2 memorials on the front lawn. The first is dedicated to Mother’s Day, a granite marker put up in 1976. The 2nd is a set of 5 painted figurines, one for each of the armed services.
