Georgetown Town Offices – 5:50 PM
Built in 1836 as the Georgetown Central School. Yellow clapboards, good condition.
Two huge brick chimneys on the roof.
Essex Town Hall – 7:05 PM
Its almost dark as I pull into the Essex parking lot. The town hall is exactly what you would want a New Engalnd seacoast hall to be, heavily worn shingle style, a towering hulk of brown stained eaves and trim. The view from the back lawn is a mile of salt marshes, behind all the clam shacks on RT-133.
